Embossing is just about the easiest way to add elegance to your rubber stamped image. I mean, who doesn't love the look of glitz & glimmer! Bmuse Embossing Powders are wonderful because Bmuse takes embossing powder a step beyond by giving us such unique and fabulous colors to work with! So what is better than one Bmuse gorgeous embossing powder color? How about three!

Embossed Painting is a technique that allows you to combine 3 or more of your favorite colors in one embossed image. This technique can be used to add even more elegance to your image by combining strong embossing powder colors such as gold, silvers, black and other metallic colors.

I decided to go the other way and go totally for the fun! This technique allows you to combine the elegance of embossing with that wonderful spirit of play, and turn even simple images into fantastic. So, if you are ready to play and make a nice big mess, lets get started!

First choose 3-5 colors of Bmuse Very Fine Detail Emboss Powders (this is a great way to use those FREE samples that come with every Bmuse order:) Stamp an image on cardstock using VersaMark Ink or other clear embossing ink pad. Sprinkle each color of emboss powder over the image, one at a time. Start with the color you want to show most and sprinkle in strips or puddles. Cover only a small part of the image with your first color then move on to the next color until the entire image is colored! Then heat set!

So, what to do with the remaining powder that is all mixed up that you can't put back into the jar? I normally make three cards in this process. The first card is a totally controlled painting. The second and third come from the pile left over. The colors are already mixed at this time but that also makes for another great fabulous effect and who would want to waste even a bit of this beautiful powder!
