The recent surge in the popularity of knitting has produced some simply AMAZING fibers and yarn - a trip to one of these new gourmet yarns shops can make any collage artists go crazy with delight. That is until we realize we need them all and some of these beauties are $45. a skein which is more than we will used in 3 lifetimes. Problem solved!! Let Bmuse buy them and sell them in 2 yards packs....Now you can have them all for less than the price of one skein.

An Art Card that uses the fiber above as embellishment and better shows off what shimmery wispy addition it makes. It is anchored with a piece of tumbled glass sold on the Assemblage Art Supplies page and transparency image from the Antique Asian Collage Sheet. The edges of the transparency image were run quickly thru a lighter flame to soften and add dimension. Click on image for a larger view. |

Spring Muse Art Doll. This doll was made using a variation on the pattern found in the Sommerset Workshop book, Pub. Stampington & Company. I used two pieces of 140# watercolor stock glued together for the body, a piece of soft handmade paper for an overall cover then added strips of handmade and printed papers. For the finishing touch I used a polymer clay face, buttons, and several art fibers found on this page. |
